THINGS I PUT ON MY CV

Writer-director. Currently based in Oslo, Norway. MA graduate of the National Film & Television School, London.

Earlier this year I attended the 2018 Sundance Screenwriters Lab developing my script THOMAS IN 10 DIMENSIONS. The project has just been given the go-ahead by the Norwegian Film Institute and will be my debut as a feature film director.

Right now I’m in post-production on two projects: A pilot for my drama series that I’ve just presented at the C21 Drama Summit in London. I’m also writing the rest of the first season. The other project is APOCALYPSE NORTH, a new short which will be part of an anthology feature film put together by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard - the directors of the Nick Cave docu 20,000 DAYS ON EARTH.

My 10th short NOTHING EVER REALLY ENDS - a Vimeo Staff Pick Premiere - has screened at festivals including Aspen (Jury Special Recognition) and Seattle (Jury Special Recognition). Vimeo named it the runner up for Best Drama of 2017 as well as one of the top comedies of the year. It’s also a 2018 Webby Awards Honoree in "Comedy: Long Form or Series", a Short Of The Week pick and currently screening on Canal180.

ETERNAL SUMMER, another feature script of mine, was selected for the Les Arcs co-production village and is currently in development.

Earlier work: MY FRIEND KILLS TIME - available at Nowness - premiered at South By Southwest. The medium length film SCRATCH won the main prize in Aubagne. My NFTS-graduation film, VANILLA SONG, was selected for Cannes, Cinéfondation. I’ve worked with leading Norwegian production companies Maipo Film, Motlys and Ape&Bjørn, as well as the Oscar-winning UK company Breakthru Films.

As a commercials and content director, I’ve worked for clients as diverse as an airline and an underground fashion label. HUNGER was profiled in Shots and nominated for the Young Directors Award in Cannes. The commissioned short film SOMETIMES was nominated for the 1.4 awards.

I’ve attended the late Jeanne Moreau’s screenwriting workshop in France, The Berlin Talent Campus and the Judith Weston Acting For Directors workshop in LA. I’ve also studied courses in Film History and Media Science at Bergen and Stavanger universities. I’m a three year recipient of the Norwegian State Grant for Young Film Artists.

I am on the advisory board for the new arthouse cinema Vega Scene in Oslo.

And finally I run workshops and hold lectures in writing and directing at several institutions, including Westerdals Oslo School of Arts, Communication and Technology.
